In the so called Artillery Halls in front of the Museum the world's biggest collection of historical pieces of artillery from seven centuries is presented. 500 pieces of artillery form the most comprehensive and most precious collection of its kind. One of the few still existing monster pieces from the first half of the 15th century is the thousand-pound mortar produced in Steyr/Upper Austria.
